EN (European Norm) Standards - EN standards, commonly developed by CEN or CENELEC, serve as the voluntary basis of technical requirements in associated member countries. As such, EN standards usually incorporate group, applicable to all member countries, and national, applicable to identified countries, differences to accommodate technical variances within the wide membership within a single standard. EN standards are commonly adopted into the national systems of members as translated versions of the base EN standard for local utilization. These standards are often based on IEC and ISO standards. As CEN and CENELEC are commissioned to develop standards in accordance with the technical requirements of EU Directives, EN standards that are identified as harmonized to a directive provide a presumption of compliance with such requirements.
EN 71 - European standard of safety for toys in Europe, established by CEC. Countries covered by EN 71 include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
ENEC - European Norms Electrical Certification,Agreement for Appliances
ENEC - European Norms Electrical Certification. Luminaries and components, information technology and electrical business equipment can circulate in Europe with the ENEC Mark. 20 European Certification bodies have signed an agreement and established the common mark ENEC. ENEC certifies the compliance of a product with the EN standards and it is considered by the countries that signed the agreement as valid as their own national mark.

European Eco-label - The European eco-label, founded in 1992, is the official European ecological label, applicable in all Member States. It is a voluntary label. Each country has designated an organism to manage and issue the mark (e.g. AFNOR in France, AENOR in Spain, etc.)To obtain the European eco-label, the product must conform to ecological and fitness for use criteria. These criteria result from negotiations European representatives of industrialists, consumer and environmental protection associations, distributors and public authorities. The European eco-label concerns to date bed linen and tee-shirts, washing machines, tissue paper products, electric light blubs and fluorescent tubes, textile detergents, interior decoration paints and varnishes, soil improvers, photocopying paper, refrigerators/deep freezes, bed mattresses, personal computers, shoes, other textile groups, etc.
