GB/T 3286的本部分规定了用管式炉燃烧-碘酸钾滴定法、高频燃烧红外吸收法和硫酸钡重量法测定硫含量。本部分适用于石灰石、白云石中硫含量的测定，及冶金石灰中硫含量的测定。管式炉燃烧-碘酸钾滴定法和高频燃烧红外吸收法，测定范围（质量分数）：0.01%～0.5%；硫酸钡重量法，测定范围（质量分数）：硫含量大于或等于0.10%；附录B管式燃烧-碘滴定法，测定范围（质量分数）：硫含量不小于0.01%。
